# Your First Steps

How to get started on your new home for Survival!

### Welcome to LyraMC!

We're so glad you're here! You've just joined and you're currently admiring our beautiful spawn (we don't blame you!). But what are the first steps you should take for an awesome experience? Keep on reading to find out!

### 1) Claim free /rewards

Immediately after joining you can claim your free daily /rewards! You can unlock Weekly and Monthly rewards by achieving [Free Ranks](/getting-started/free-ranks.md).

### 2) Vote for the server

Voting is quick and easy, gives you free rewards, supports the server, and immediately unlocks your first Free Rank! Type /vote to get started, or [read more here](/getting-started/voting.md).

### 3) Complete the Server Tutorial

Begin the tutorial with `/tutorial` to quickly learn the basics of the server. Once completed, you'll unlock a free **Fabled Key**!

### 4) Join our Discord Server and Link Account

Our [Discord Server](/get-help/discord-server.md) is the best way to stay informed with the latest news for LyraMC. You'll also unlock access to giveaways, events, and so much more!

Link your account with `/link` for another free **Fabled Key**!

### 5) Select a Job

Before setting out into the wild, you should select a Job. Jobs are the best way to earn money on LyraMC, but you can only have one active at a time. Choose carefully!

### 6) Begin your Adventure with Random Teleportation!

Randomly teleport into the wild using `/rtp` or the Random Teleportation portal at spawn!&#x20;

### 7) Claim your Builds

Claiming is the best way to prevent griefing. Once your area is claimed, nobody, except those who you allow with `/trust`, can break or interact with anything on your claim.
